A Home Away from Home: Trials of Mana - Citadel Laurent in the Kingdom of Wind

Today we’re going to be visiting Citadel Laurent in Trials of Mana, the home of Princess Riesz.

Prince Elliot
Citadel attendants, Amazon guards, Laurentians...and more

Citadel Laurent is reputed to be impregnable - it’s protected not only by its Amazon guards and the cliffs that surround it, but also by the region’s magical winds.

Out in the mountains we find Princess Riesz on one of her daily patrols. A dedicated captain of the guard, she’s one of the main characters in Trials of Mana.

Should anyone try to invade the citadel, they’d need to contend with the Amazon guards who constantly patrol the town below.

Here they are training. With those massive spears, they look formidable, to say the least!

Their rigorous patrols cover the citadel as well.

After a long search, we finally locate Riesz’s chambers! With all those pillows piled up by the fireplace, it certainly has an inviting atmosphere, doesn’t it?

And that bed looks as soft as they come!

We met many Amazon guards and attendants on the way to Riesz’s room, and all of them seemed glad to see their princess. Come to think of it, we didn’t see her brother, the young Prince Elliot. Could he have strayed outside the citadel walls? That would be worrying, what with the number of monsters around of late...
