In DRAGON QUEST VII Reimagined, you must collect the fragments of broken stone tablets, then fit them all back together like a puzzle to open up new locations to visit.
These new areas all have their own problems, and solving them will cause those locations to appear in the protagonist's world, adding to the places you can explore.

Place the stone tablet fragments onto pedestals of the same color.

Once complete, each stone tablet leads to a different location with its own set of problems to solve.

Stone tablet fragments can be found in towns and dungeons or obtained by defeating powerful enemies.

Solving the problem at the stone tablet's destination triggers a chain reaction, causing changes in the protagonists' world, like new islands that appear as if from nowhere!

DRAGON QUEST VII Reimagined is set to launch globally on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2026. While the core elements from the original game remain, other aspects have been reimagined for more streamlined progression and fuller character development.
The game also features new storylines, including one where you meet Kiefer as an adult and fight alongside him!

The party sneaks into Rucker Castle at night, to help solve Kiefer’s troubles.
