The RPG genre was still an unfamiliar one in Japan at the time, but DRAGON QUEST’s release led to it gaining immense popularity.
The Dragonlord, supreme ruler of darkness, has appeared in the peaceful Alefgard and stolen the Sphere of Light! With the sphere lost, the land is thrown into shadow.
As the Hero descended from the legendary Erdrick, you must set out and end the accursed night by vanquishing the Dragonlord.

Introduction
A remake of FINAL FANTASY VII, originally released in 1997.The first game of a planned trilogy, it covers up to the escape from Midgar in the original game, with plenty of additions along the way.
Mako, the energy essential for our lives, is extracted from the planet.
It powers the two-tiered city of Midgar via eight reactors.
Operating these reactors is the Shinra Electric Power Company, a massive corporation that has used mako to take control of the world. Standing against them is Avalanche, an organization founded to protect the planet.
Cloud, a former SOLDIER operative, is hired as a mercenary by an Avalanche cell, and takes part in a mission to destroy Midgar’s Mako Reactor 1. Introduction
