SQUARE ENIX announced that an enhanced edition of the genre defining tactical RPG, FINAL FANTASY TACTICS, will make its long-awaited return as FINAL FANTASY TACTICS - The Ivalice Chronicles™, set to launch on Nintendo Switch™ 2, Nintendo Switch™, PlayStation®5 (PS5®), PlayStation®4 (PS4®), Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam® and Steam Deck on September 30, 2025.
*Only the Steam® version will launch on October 1, 2025.
Ivalice--a kingdom blessed by the light of the gods and ruled by the Two-headed Lion.
A year after her defeat to Ordallia in the Fifty Years' War, the king succumbed to malady, leaving a mere boy of two to ascend the throne.
Whoever was named regent would rule in truth, and thus emerged two rival candidates: dukes Goltanna and Larg, whose deeds during the war had earned them great renown.
Goltanna the Black Lion and Larg the White Lion were destined to clash, and the resulting conflict would come to be known as the War of the Lions.
Against this backdrop appear Ramza, the young man who stabilizes the War of the Lions and is hailed as the hero king, and his childhood companion Delita, whose name is lost in history.
They, too, must face various choices while charting through this tumultuous age.
What will the people choose and ultimately achieve? It's time to uncover the truth that lies beneath the kingdom's unspoken history.

Ramza (VA: Shinnosuke Tachibana) A knight apprentice of the Royal Military Akademy at Gariland, hailing from Eagrose. House Beoulve has long been a respected military family, and for generations has produced commanders of the Order of the Northern Sky. Born to a different mother than his two elder brothers, Ramza, the great house's youngest son, harbors feelings of inferiority to his trueborn siblings; Dycedarg, the eldest, is a trusted retainer of Duke Larg, and Zalbaag is the current lord commander of the Order of the Northern Sky. |

Alma (VA: Saori Hayami) The youngest of the four Beoulve children, Alma is Ramza's full sister, and is possessed of a bright and cheerful demeanor that charms all those around her. She attends the Eagrose Preparatory Akademy, and, like her brother, was born of a different mother than the elder Beoulve siblings, Dycedarg and Zalbaag. Since birth, Alma has spent almost her entire life within Orbonne Monastery, and has only recently returned to live in the Beoulve manse. Because of their similar circumstances--and closeness in age--she shares a stronger bond with Ramza than with her elder half brothers. Her closest friend is Delita's sister Tietra. |

Delita (VA: Koki Uchiyama) Delita is Ramza's childhood friend and knight apprentice of the Royal Military Akademy at Gariland. Born to a farming family in Eagrose, the demesne of House Beoulve, Delita and his sister were taken in by the late Lord Barbaneth after losing both parents to the Black Death. Despite his low birth, he was allowed into the Akademy at Lord Barbaneth's request. |

Agrias Oaks (VA: Rina Satō) A noble and fiercely loyal female knight serving in the Lionsguard, the Crown's personal shields. Tensions between dukes Larg and Goltanna after the death of Ondoria III led to fears for Princess Ovelia's safety, and the Council dispatched Lady Agrias to Orbonne Monastery as a guard. She sympathizes with the princess for having to live a sequestered life. |
