『Visions of Mana』System Introduction:Elemental Vessels
2024.07.19
Elemental vessels are mystical artifacts that house the power of the elements within them.
Each vessel contains mana from a different element. You can wield these powers in combat and while exploring.
You can use an elemental vessel at the curiously glowing triggers scattered throughout the land and harness its individual power to generate gusts of wind, move rocks, or even slow down time to open pathways and find hidden items on the map. Once you get a new vessel, don't forget to revisit areas you've already passed through. Accessing other triggers will unlock new places for you to explore.
Here are some examples of what you can do with those mysterious elemental vessels out in the huge semi-open field.
Use the corresponding vessel to activate the trigger and continue your adventure.
◆ Vessel of Wind: Sylphid Boomerang
Elemental vessel of Sylphid, the Elemental of Wind, can control air currents.
Use it to create gusts of wind when you come across a broken path that's too large to cross. Boost your jumps with wind or summon rocky steps buoyed by the air to get back on track!
◆ Vessel of the Moon: Luna Globe
Elemental vessel of Luna, the Elemental of the Moon, can manipulate the flow of time.
It can slow down time to let the player circumvent obstacles like frozen rapids or revert a specific area back to the state it was in the past. Use it to clear your way and safely continue your trek!
◆ Vessel of Water: Undine Flask
Undine is the elemental of water. Her elemental vessel can control the ebb and flow of water.
With it, you can enter the floating bubbles you find on your journey and move them around at will. The Undine Flask can also be used to cool down any magma blocking your way so you can safely progress through hot areas.
◆ Vessel of Wood: Dryad Sprig
Dryad is the elemental of wood. Her elemental vessel can harness the regenerative healing power of plants.
You can also use it to grow large flowers to carry you across broken paths or give yourself a boost to reach inaccessible areas.
◆ Vessel of Fire: Salamando Candle
Salamando is the elemental of fire. His elemental vessel can harness the power of flame.
While exploring the field, you can ride on the Salamando Candle to propel yourself through the air like a rocket.
◆ Vessel of Earth: Gnome Shovel
Gnome is the elemental of earth. His elemental vessel can control things created from the ground below.
You can operate powerful clay golems you find during your explorations and use them to destroy rock walls that block your progress.
◆ Vessel of Light: Lumina Lantern
Lumina is the elemental of light. His elemental vessel can harness the power of reflections.
You can point the Lumina Lantern at reflective mirrors to bounce light into hidden areas and illuminate your way through the field.
◆ Vessel of Darkness: Shade Sight
Shade is the elemental of darkness. His elemental vessel can harness the power of gravity.
You can use the vessel on objects in the field to pull yourself toward areas you can't reach by jumping or dashing.
Obtain the various elemental vessels to switch your characters to new classes. Different classes unlock different stats, weapon types, and unique moves or abilities based on their corresponding elemental. Some abilities can restrict an enemy's movements or cast regenerative effects to heal your allies. Change classes to see which element has the best skills for your individual fighting style!
Use the elemental powers in the vessels to change classes and gain new abilities. Each character has their own specific class for every elemental vessel, so try them out and see which combination of classes fits for your team of choice!
◆ Vessel of Wind: Sylphid Boomerang
Sylphid's elemental vessel can control air currents.
Hurl the vessel at an enemy to attack with the power of wind. It can bind and suspend the enemy in the air, while also dealing damage. When an attack hits the binding gust, it'll burst into shards of wind that scatter to hit other hostiles in the area.
◆ Vessel of the Moon: Luna Globe
Luna's elemental vessel can manipulate the flow of time.
Create pockets of moon energy to decrease the enemy's movement speed if they cross into them. When you or an ally enter the affected area, it'll shorten the casting time for your magic spells.
◆ Vessel of Water: Undine Flask
Undine is the elemental of water.
Her elemental vessel can control the ebb and flow of water. Blast enemies off their feet with streams of water or attack them with homing water bubbles that deal damage.
◆ Vessel of Wood: Dryad Sprig
Dryad's elemental of wood. Her elemental vessel can harness regenerative healing power of plants.
Create healing zones to keep replenishing your HP and the HP of your allies for a set amount of time.
◆ Vessel of Fire: Salamando Candle
Salamando is the elemental of fire. His elemental vessel can harness the power of flame.
Charge at enemies with fiery attacks or engulf them in flames to cause damage over time.
◆ Vessel of Earth: Gnome Shovel
Gnome is the elemental of earth. His elemental vessel can control things created from the ground below.
Protect your party members by summoning a rock shield in battle, reducing the damage done by enemy attacks.
◆ Vessel of Light: Lumina Lantern
Lumina is the elemental of light. His elemental vessel can harness the power of reflections.
Link enemies together with rays of light in battle, reflecting the damage from one enemy onto the other.
◆ Vessel of Darkness: Shade Sight
Shade is the elemental of darkness. His elemental vessel can harness the power of gravity.
Pull smaller enemies towards you, or for larger enemies, swing yourself closer to get back into the fray.
